NRE is also committed to improving the green infrastructure of communities by providing public access to the waterfront.  NRE has dedicated over five miles of waterfront to parkland and riverwalks in four states.   These waterfront parcels allow for the public to access waterfront that had previously been in private ownership NRE environmental partners include Scenic Hudson, Chewonki Foundation, Norwalk River Trail Conservancy, NJ DEP, the USDA, and Mid-Coast Maine Preservation Society.
